African Attire Encouraged

There is no ticket price but guests will be given the opportunity to make a contribution to sponsor a student and encouraged to make a gift of $250.

Founded by former Microsoft employee and Ghana native Patrick Awuah in 2002, Ashesi University is training a new generation of leaders for Africa. Join us to learn about the power of a dream and the transformational impact that Ashesi University is making in Africa. For more information, see www.ashesi.org.

Linda Fiah Has A Dream . . .
Linda's dream is to start her own company that will help improve the Ghanaian economy by providing businesses with data management services. She chose Ashesi because she believes its high-quality education in the liberal arts and business will best prepare her to pursue her dream. Linda is thrilled that an Ashesi scholarship helped her attend, and grateful for the opportunities that Ashesi offers for women. Your generosity in supporting scholarships can make a difference in the lives of students like Linda.

Nearly 62% of female students at Ashesi receive financial aid, and 20% of the student body is from rural or difficult circumstances and receives substantial aid.

The goal of this benefit luncheon is to raise $100,000 to make high quality education available to 20 women and poor rural students through scholarships.

  • $250 purchases textbooks
  • $1,000 funds a partial scholarship and leverages the student's contribution
  • $5,000 buys a whole year at Ashesi (20% of the cost of one year at a top private college in the US)
  • $20,000 provides a complete Ashesi education for a young leader

Your gift can change a life, change an entire African country, and change our shared future by improving our global society.
