Peter Woicke was CEO of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Managing Director of the World Bank from 1999 to 2005. Before joining IFC, Mr. Woicke spent 30 years with J.P. Morgan, holding several positions. These included heading the banking division of an affiliate in Beirut and leading the global oil and gas group. For two years, he was responsible for J.P. Morgan’s information technology staff of some 6,000. He was also Chairman of J.P. Morgan Securities Asia and a member of the company’s executive management group. Peter graduated from the University of Saarbrücken, Germany. Since his retirement from the IFC, he has held various non-executive board directorships and has served as Chair of the International Save the Children Alliance.
