January 21, 2022: For the first time since March 2020, Ashesi’s campus fully reopened for in-person activity and classes at the start of 2022.
Master’s program in Mechatronic Engineering welcomes pioneer class
January 21, 2022: On January 17 2022, Ashesi and ETH Zurich welcomed the pioneering class for our joint Master’s Program in Mechatronic Engineering. The 26 students will be trained in automation, production and robotics.
Grant award to enable Ashesi faculty member build learning platform for women in entrepreneurship
January 14, 2022: A team from Ashesi, led by Business Administration faculty member Jewel Thompson, has been awarded a $100,000 grant to build a digital resource platform for women in entrepreneurship.
Student residence hall named in honor of Ghanaian philanthropist Kofi A. Tawiah
January 7, 2022: Ashesi’s Executive Team has dedicated a student residence hall in honor of Kofi A Tawiah. The Tawiah Hall, formerly known as Hall 2B, honors the legacy of the Ghanaian philanthropist and Ashesi donor.

November 15, 2021: In 2019, Clement Ngosong ’23 arrived at Ashesi to study Electronic and Electrical engineering. He had received a full scholarship to attend but had to convince his family to let him leave Cameroon for Ghana.
