May 17, 2021: Ashesi’s 16th Commencement Ceremony was the first of two virtual events being held in 2021 and brought on a delayed mix of excitement and nostalgia for the Class of 2020.
May 10, 2021: Lisa Opoku, Global Chief Operating Officer and Global Strategist for Goldman Sachs, will be the Guest Speaker for Ashesi’s Class of 2020 Commencement Ceremony. She brings nearly two decades of leadership experience working in one of the largest industries in the world.
April 30, 2021: Ashesi was ranked among the world’s top 400 most impactful universities in the 2021 Global Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings.
April 14, 2021: This year’s Ashesi career fair, as with many university activities over the past year, looked different. There were no groups of students gathered around recruiter desks across campus and no speakers booming around the Archer Cornfield Courtyard.

Besides his day-to-day job as a software engineer, he is very active in the developer community in sub-Saharan Africa and contributes to programs designed to support the professional development of software engineers in Africa.
