Being the first student of my junior high school to gain admission into one of the best high schools (Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School) in Ghana was a dream come true for me. I studied business in high school and won the best accounting student award in the 2012-2013 academic year. After graduating high school in 2015, I gained admission to Ashesi University College to study Computer Science. This has also been another dream come true as a result of me being the first in my nuclear family to have a university education. I chose to study Computer Science because one of my goals in life is to combine technology and entrepreneurship to solve real-world problems that will help make the lives of others better.
Over the 2018 summer break, I had an internship with one of the best software development companies in Ghana, Rancard Solutions Limited. Throughout this internship, I have gained deep insights into solving problems with technology that would serve users in an impactful way.
Throughout my stay at Ashesi, I have come to understand what servant leadership is. I have come to realize that life is all about service to humanity and that if one wants to be great in life, then he or she must serve humankind the most with a sincere heart and expect no reward in return. In 2017, I participated in the elections at Ashesi and contested for the position of being the Chair Person of the Ashesi Judicial Council. Although I lost, this was a great learning experience for me. I learned and appreciated a lot about humanity. This experience made me understand that in life, you don’t always get what you want. Whatever comes your way, you embrace it in a way that would inspire others in a positive direction of their lives.

I must say that I am grateful to the donors who made my Ashesi education possible. This means a lot to me because I wouldn’t have been able to have an education of high quality at Ashesi without them. Again, I appreciate it a lot, and I am grateful.
I hope to pursue my graduate education right after I graduate from Ashesi University. After completing my graduate school, I hope to work in the USA or the UK for about ten years. After which, I would return to my country and build Ghana’s biggest hospital that would provide quality healthcare services just as in developed countries such as the USA and the UK.
As part of this dream, I hope to offer a scholarship that would help provide free health care to needy orphans and widows. My biggest dream concerning the health sector of my country is that in the long run, I hope to extend quality health care services to every part of Ghana. I believe that at least, this would help save human lives.
