July 1, 2022: The Scholarship, Leadership & Citizenship Award is given to graduates who have lived out Ashesi’s core values during their time at the university. These awardees have contributed in outstanding ways to Ashesi’s mission and have had a strong impact on the Ashesi Community.
January 21, 2022: For the first time since March 2020, Ashesi’s campus fully reopened for in-person activity and classes at the start of 2022.
January 7, 2022: Ashesi’s Executive Team has dedicated a student residence hall in honor of Kofi A Tawiah. The Tawiah Hall, formerly known as Hall 2B, honors the legacy of the Ghanaian philanthropist and Ashesi donor.
November 15, 2021: In 2019, Clement Ngosong ’23 arrived at Ashesi to study Electronic and Electrical engineering. He had received a full scholarship to attend but had to convince his family to let him leave Cameroon for Ghana.
November 15, 2021: In a Mastercard Foundation blog post, Ibrahim Abdullah reflects on his experiences as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar, and how his time at Ashesi prepared him for a career with Microsoft in Canada.
April 2, 2021: Oliver Mensah is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar Alumnus and a software engineer at Future500 B.V. Besides his day-to-day job as a software engineer, he is very active in the developer community in sub-Saharan Africa and contributes to programs designed to support the professional development of software engineers in Africa.
August 31, 2020: Susan is now on a path to earning a Masters in Engineering at ASU.
